Yesterday

Yesterday was my journey to today

What did I do yesterday that got me here today

Footsteps in time is all that life appears to be

Today will be yesterday when tomorrow dawns

My thoughts and actions yesterday have created my today

Yesterday I rested from night's toil until my mind became clear

Today my heart and mind free in spirit to live and love

Expressing my truth for all around me to perceive

My universal life's worth is my state of heart and mind

My journey in this body is life to death

Knowing this day will become my tomorrow

May my words and deeds today be for the greater good

So that tomorrow I am at peace with myself

And life is at peace with me
