Surprise

Well it happened again and it makes feel kinda  depressed.   I went dancing this weekend as usual and being a small town girl in a rural area everybody knows you or has seen you many times .  I  am always very visible as I  run, walk, hike, and bicycle  all over my area.  So yesterday I was sitting with girlfriends between songs and a guy (who I recognized) comes up to me and asks me to dance.  I tell him I’m kinda shy and like dancing alone , but among others and would be fine dancing by him.   Well he heard my voice and said he thought I was a woman and recognized me.  We shook hands.  I told him I was sorry  as I thought he knew me.    He  was very nice about it.  I just felt awful for disappointing him and maybe he was embarrassed as he walked back to his friends.    So in my area I am not trying to fool anyone into thinking I’m a woman.  Sure  I would love if AI science found a way to make it possible, but for now I am a “dude that looks like a lady “.
