A comment to my previous blog below got me thinking. You all know I have been out in public dressed as a woman sometimes more provocatively than other times but not too loudly. The comment mentioned being mocked in public. This is entirely possible. A month ago I was going to our meeting when a pickup drove by slowly. I saw it from the corner of my eye but was faced away from it then heard "Hey Bro, Hey Bro". I was dressed pretty well if a little colourfully so attention wasn't unexpected. Did I turn around? Nope. Why would I? Then when I left after our meeting I walked in front of a car with a coupla young cis-women. I passed and heard them laughing. So were they laughing at me? Perhaps. Possible, sure. I carried on and left. But then I thought Good Lord I don't laugh at some of the visions of loveliness I see out there shepherding their*****lb mass thru the streets. That would not be ladylike or even gentlemanly I fear. As for those women who go around dressed in pajama bottoms I also hold my tongue although I'm snickering inside.
Last Saturday night as I said we went to a bar for food and drinks. One guy sitting a couple of tables away was trying to determine which of us were male or female. Sitting beside him was one of those*****lb cis-women. Frankly the 4 of us looked better than most of the cis-women there although to the studied eye we were clearly men. I cannot hide my big shoulders nor my 6ft height or deep voice. My friend is 6 ft 4 in heels which she always wears. Few cis-women approach 6 ft (or even 5 ft 10) in height. The other 2 are more passable but so what. On an earlier trip to Costco I was wearing a really short skirt and was getting looks from people, one MILF read me and when my eyes met her's she gave me a big smile. Loved that!
Having said all this the chances of being ridiculed or mocked in public are pretty negligible. Some people will notice you, a lot will not. You are probably never going to look like Adrienne Barbeau or Shania Twain in public and I won't either. Don't let that curtail your desire to have a fun time either solo or with girlfriends out and about.
If somebody does really take you to task for dressing as a woman I would have no hesitation in emptying both barrels at them (er, metaphorically speaking).
Cheers, Girls
