Our community has always been about people. While our main purpose is to provide a welcoming place for crossdressers, trans people and their admirers to meet, make friends and form relationships, we also believe that when we are able to help others, we should.
Over the years, we have supported a number of charities and humanitarian organisations through both one-off and regular donations. Some have been organisations responding to conflict and humanitarian emergencies, while others provide medical care, support children and families, help people living with disabilities, or care for people facing serious illness.
We are not a huge corporation with an enormous charitable budget, and we do not pretend to be. What we give varies depending on circumstances and what we are able to afford at the time. Sometimes that has meant a one-off donation and sometimes regular support over a period of time.
We believe that a contribution does not have to be enormous to be worthwhile. If enough people and organisations give what they reasonably can, those contributions collectively help charities continue doing work that genuinely matters.
Below are some of the organisations we have been pleased to support.
British Red Cross
The British Red Cross helps people facing emergencies and crises both here in the UK and around the world. Its work ranges from responding to fires, floods and other emergencies at home to providing humanitarian assistance following disasters and during armed conflicts overseas.
It also supports refugees and people seeking asylum, helps victims of trafficking and modern slavery, and works alongside the wider international Red Cross and Red Crescent movement to relieve human suffering wherever possible.
We chose to support the British Red Cross because when someone's life is suddenly turned upside down by disaster, displacement or conflict, practical humanitarian assistance can make an enormous difference.

UNRWA
UNRWA — the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East — provides humanitarian assistance and essential services to Palestine refugees.
Its work includes education, healthcare, emergency assistance, social support and services for some of the most vulnerable members of Palestinian refugee communities. This includes children, families living in poverty, older people and people with disabilities.
UNRWA also operates schools and health services and provides assistance during humanitarian emergencies across its areas of operation, including Palestine (Gaza, the West Bank), Jordan, Lebanon and Syria.
We have supported UNRWA because civilians caught up in conflict should never be forgotten. Whatever someone's background, politics or circumstances, ordinary people deserve access to food, healthcare, education and basic human dignity.

Operation Smile UK
Operation Smile helps children and adults around the world who are living with cleft lip and cleft palate conditions and who may otherwise have little or no access to specialist treatment.
Its work goes beyond surgery. Depending on an individual's needs, care can also involve nutrition support, dentistry, orthodontics, speech therapy and emotional or psychological support.
For families living in places where specialist healthcare is difficult to reach or simply unaffordable, access to this treatment can make a profound difference to a child's health, development and future.
This is a cause we have been particularly pleased to support because something treatable should not be allowed to determine a child's opportunities simply because of where they happened to be born or the financial circumstances of their family.

Pace
Pace supports children and young people with neurodisabilities and their families. The organisation has particular experience supporting children with cerebral palsy, while its services also extend to children with a wider range of neurological, developmental and additional needs.
Through specialist education, therapy and family support, Pace works to help children develop their abilities, increase their independence and achieve as much of their potential as possible.
Its work recognises that every child is different and that appropriate support, therapy and education can make an enormous difference not only to a child, but to their entire family.
Supporting organisations working with children and people living with disabilities is something that matters greatly to us, which is why Pace is one of the organisations we have chosen to support.
Marie Curie
Marie Curie provides care and support for people living with terminal illnesses and for the people close to them.
Its nurses and healthcare professionals provide specialist palliative and end-of-life care, including support in people's own homes and through its hospices. The charity also provides information and emotional support to patients and families at what can be one of the most difficult periods of their lives.
Alongside providing direct care, Marie Curie funds research and campaigns for improvements in end-of-life care so that more people can receive appropriate support, dignity and comfort regardless of their illness.
We believe that nobody should have to face the end of their life without compassion, dignity and appropriate care, and we have been pleased to support the work Marie Curie does for patients and their families.
War Child UK
War Child supports children and families whose lives have been disrupted by war and armed conflict. Its work focuses on helping children stay safe, continue their education, recover from traumatic experiences and rebuild a sense of stability in extremely difficult circumstances.
The organisation works with local partners in conflict-affected communities to provide emergency essentials, create safe spaces for children, support mental health and wellbeing, and help children continue learning when normal schooling has been interrupted.
War Child also supports families and communities over the longer term, recognising that children are more likely to recover when the people around them have the support and resources they need as well.
We chose to support War Child because children have no control over the conflicts they are born into or caught up in, yet they often suffer some of the most devastating consequences. We believe children affected by war deserve protection, education, care and the opportunity to rebuild their lives.

Why We Give
There will always be more worthwhile causes than any individual or organisation could possibly support. We cannot help everyone, and the amount we are able to give will naturally change over time.
But we do believe in doing something rather than nothing.
Whether it is helping a child receive medical treatment, supporting someone living with a disability, providing care to somebody approaching the end of their life, or helping families whose lives have been devastated by conflict or disaster, these organisations exist because people choose to support them.
We are proud to have played a small part in that.
This page highlights some of the organisations we have supported over the years and may not represent every charitable donation we have made. We will continue to update it as we support other causes in the future.
The support we give to charities and humanitarian organisations is only possible because of the people who support ClubCrossDressing.
Memberships and upgrades help fund the running of the site and, when there is money available beyond those costs, they also make it possible for us to support causes we care about.
So although the donations are made by ClubCrossDressing, our members have indirectly helped make them possible too. Without their support, there would simply be no funds available for us to give.
