I have been thinking hard about how I look and thought it would be nice for me to have bigger boobs and more weight on my hips. I realise this would only be possible with HRT! I am not looking at the complete sex change but just want to look more girlie!

My dilemma is because I have certain existing health issues the Dr would not consider or simply because I just want to feminise they would not understand or help me.

I have been looking at estrogen tablets and gels which sound as though they will help me achieve the body I am looking for, as I already have regular blood tests any problems occurring through the medication I mention should be highlighted early on.

my question would be am I being an old fool tempting more health issues or would it be worth it to help me feel good in my own body

Just a quick comment to say that if you feel that you would like to take HRT then my I suggest an online source that might help. They are called GenderDr, and they carry out rigorous checks and you can also talk to a specialist Doctor. They can recommend a Doctor for blood tests if you don't wish to use your own. I have been using them for some time now and found them very helpful xxx

Thank you for your replies and now will be looking into the possibility of augmentation in the near future

Great advice from Maila and Mirage; HRT effects every cell in your body not just the visual parts; and it may also still need additional surgeries or padding to achieve good results especially when older.

I think it is better not to take hormones or other substances if you have some health problems. Even without them, it remains to be seen how your body will react. Although every body is different, in my case, I eat mainly vegetarian to stay slim. That already helps to achieve a somewhat more feminine shape. Additionally, I find that with gel breasts and a good bra, you can go a long way in mimicking breasts. If you want to accentuate your backside a bit more, you can always use padding. I do the latter very occasionally, depending on my clothing. Furthermore, I personally prefer not to take risks with hormones, even though I am healthy, but it is a choice you have to make for yourself. There is no right or wrong... first and foremost, listen to your body's inner voice, and follow desires that are achievable.
