I started crossdressing at a very young age.  My sister was older and moved out of home for a while, so when no one was in the house, I would try on her clothes.  I was always drawn to dresses more than anything else as they epitomised femininity to me.  I remember sitting in my bedroom for hours wearing a dress and thinking how nice it felt.  As I got older I expanded my experiences.  I started working and would buy some skirts and dresses and hide them in an outside location securely.  Then, I would try them on when time permitted.  I loved the feel of the material and realised how boring men's clothes truly are.  My persona seemed to change greatly when dressed up too!

However, like most crossdressers, I have had to suppress my cd urges as marriage and family became a reality.  Still sometimes I do find myself alone and put on a dress or skirt with boots.  After many years, I realise that being a crossdresser is part of who I am.  When I was younger, I used to feel guilty that I had worn a skirt with panties, or something similar.  Now I accept it - it's truly who I am.

I am happy to be a closet crossdresser and really make the most of the time I can dress up - even if it is for a few minutes only.  These are the moments that I cherish the most!  I hope this story resonates in part with other crossdresser's experiences.

I think that most Crossdressers are or have experienced the same feelings and problems, myself included. I have actually came out from the closet but my wife is in denial so I don't dress in her presence so as not tot to embarrass either of us, so like yourself I am ducking and diving trying to strike a balance, and of course the question of hiding our stash is my main problem, I do try to stop buying more , but who can ?

I count myself very lucky. Yes I’m still in the closet to any of my “friends”. But, when I’m Deñi they aren’t her friends anyway so she has a whole subset of people who really only know her, never even meeting her manmode person. At first it was the thrill of dressing, then it was the thrill of sex, lots of sex, now I dress because it’s who I really am. Hope that sheds some other light.
