I was perusing the pics and profiles of my friends and visitors and began wondering how each had chosen the name for their fem self,whilst also noticing that barely are the names repeated.Personally i chose Melanie after my favourite retro hippy singer from the seventies Melanie Safka who was as beautiful as she was talented.Melanie would start the verses gently and laid back and then when she suddenly let go on a chorus your speakers were in danger of blowing .recommended songs for those interested would be Lay down ,leftover wine ,Ruby tuesday and carolina in my mind,the latter being cover songs of course.So in saying that if there were too many melanies my default names would also be retro rock chicks,namely Linda(Ronstadt),Janis(Joplin),Joini (Mitchell),Nina (simone),Dusty(Springfield)or Patti (Smith).Perhaps other club members have chosen their favourita actress .or perhaps their favorite female world leader,their favourite queen or princess or even a sports star old or new.The possibilities are many so i hope to hear from a few of you with your self naming story,kind regards melanie x

Hi Melanie, I chose one of my first loves when I was in High ******, her name was Cristina but she didn't even know I existed as I was very shy, I never forgot how I felt about her but i sent anonymous Valentine cards to her...Schoolboy crush, Ah******memories...The surname on CCD came easier...Cross..xxx.

I chose Lexy as it was a name I would imagine a mini skirted, knee high boots gurl would wear. I can be slutty too when dressed up and Lexy seems to fit that persona too!
Ohh, my 1st comment on a blog and a nice subject too. I was named by my wife, she's denies it now though lol. A young girl dancing in shopping malls, I think we alone now? There's a clue, I can't find an anagram for it though, but I'm too sweet an innocent for that stuff anyway. What does the 2 mean Ella? Tiffany xxx

In******I joined in a website forum discussion about men in stockings. Having posted a couple of pictures of myself which received some nice compliments, I decided to try full dressing, but with no particular direction in mind. After joining other websites which had more cross dresser members, I started to exchange messages which eventually led to meetings. At that point I decided I needed a name, and having thought about several I liked, settled for Melissa. I can't remember the exact reason, but it was a popular name between the 60's and 90's, and there are several ladies in music/entertainment with the name.
Moving forward to*****, and having developed a full female persona, I decided I needed a surname other than my birth name, so I chose Mercury (after Freddie). Shortly afterward I realised it also gives me the initials MM, and as a child of the 50's I've always admired the actress Marilyn Monroe.
