In my youth I always stayed close to home because I was safe at home. I liked to sit under my maple tree at home I was in the shade and would wear my skirt and stockings with my mind wondering when I could just be myself in the world. I lived in a shelterd home with privacy. I was free to dress as I wanted and neither my parents nor my sister ever made me feel I was someone to be embarrassed about. I reached the age when I wanted my body to be fem and to start living fulltime as a CD. So with some encouragement with my sister I had the talk with my parents about living fulltime as a CD. I was expecting some resistence but it was my father that just hugged me an told me I was safe to make my own choice and it just broke down all my fears. From that day on we had alot of conversations about my choices for my life ahead.
That was the day my life changed.

That's so wonderful. I often wonder how my life might have been if I was raised in a different time and place!
Thank you for your kind interest
I would love a follow on story. What happened next? I'm happy that your parents were so supportive of you.
That's wonderful Rose... x
This is really lovely! Its wonderful that you had so much support from your family. I also love the part about sitting under the maple tree. There was a weeping willow and a tiny creek that I used to enjoy spending time near when I was a kid. I loved nature, and I think that connection with it helped me embrace and accept what I was becoming. It made me feel that it was okay to be soft, nurturing, and to care deeply.
