if you are like me, the act of zipping up a dress or a skirt are blissful encounters. I might spend a long time dressed up, or a short time. I might complement my outfit with heels or even boots.

I could take a pic or two of myself dressed up and upload them to a website like CCD, or on social media. Then I might label the post with “my dress..” or even “my heels” etc.

What I find really comforting is when I use the word “my”. To me it means a lot to say this is my dress, I own it!!  It’s not someone else’s or the wife’s but mine.  As I’ve got older the more I use words like ‘my’  just brings myself  that bit closer to being on par with women.

I hope this makes sense!

Thank you Lexy, well put! The knowledge that these are my clothes, that I bought for me to wear, makes the feeling of wearing them so much more satisfying than stolen moments with someone else's..... And yes; 5 minutes or all day; still as blissful Heart xx

It makes total sense. I love the wardrobe I have. It reflects my taste and my moods. They are me no matter how long I wear them.
