Hi Y'all. Brianna wants to put pen to paper again by punching the qwerty board. Recently there have been some cool blogs here on "coming out" by going out in public. Very cool. We have a local CD club fittingly called "Masquerade". LOL. It just recently started up again after covid destroyed everything. I went to first 2 meetings en drab and boy was I nervous especially for first one. For the third one I went en femme and was even more nervous. It was "my first time" outside the house as a she. Long blonde hair, black pantyhose, black tight miniskirt, wine red suede knee high boots, nice red blouse covering my 44DDs and some bracelets and pearls. The Ex-President even came over to say "You look great" which was a wonderful confidence booster. It went fine and the last meeting I even volunteered for the Executive. There was no reason to be nervous but it is very hard to avoid it I find.
One thing I noted was those girls don't leave anything to chance. They pull out all the stops including for makeup. The competition is tough. Really tough. In fact I would say that cis-women would face stiff competition there. Makeup is where I have a lot to learn. In fact everything to learn. But all in good time. At least I made the start when I had thought like many others that I'd just be dressing en femme in my room alone, forever. So my message is this - have faith, you are in good company with the other "girls" and going out in public is probably going to go just fine. That said I have scheduled a presentation to the group by our local police force on public safety because it is imperative that we all be prepared. Mind you when I go to our local drag races this summer I think I'll go en drab!!!
