Despite what many may think, not all males on here are looking for "fun" or to say what is means - sex. I agree, that a vast majority are looking for that while a small, but silent minority, are not.
So why do many profiles have "no males", "not into males" etc.? I am sure many are simply not into males, as they state. I am also sure that many will have male friends when in their male persona, but when they are their femme side, they state "no males". Why would that be? I can only surmise that the only advances towards them they have had, is from males who are only looking for "fun".
So why does it seem all all males are only here for sex? Because the ones who want a genuine friendship have been come use to being treated like every other male. So we stay quiet, we do respect the "no males" request, it is only the trolls, who have no respect, that make the approach.
Therefore, it would appear that all males are only here for sex because those are the only ones who stand out.
Despite the TG friends I have (had?) and being involved with a TG group, I still find that generally all males are looked upon with caution, suspicion and even hatred. I do not believe that will ever change, and with the current public attitude being swayed by the increased anti-TG media, I fear that those males who could be the greatest support to the TG community, will stay silent. Any support they want to give will be treat suspicion by the TG community they want to support, and with hatred by those who are anti-TG.

Well I am a bit embarrassed now. To be honest I never really gave this much thought. For me, and I'm sure this applies to many others, , most of the male interaction is just wanna be hookups or sex chatters. That's not my bag. To be honest I don't know why I dress. Aside from the obvious desire to do so obviously. I am very happy as a man and function just fine that way. I have a healthy adrenaline appetite that I feed regularly with trail riding. Have a nice shop where I wrench and fabricate. Etc etc. But I where the clothes and such of the female gender also. Go shopping and do girls get together etc.
I guess I didn't really think a man would WANT to interact with me as friends.
I will be more open to this in the future.
I did write a blog on this awhile back. I had posted no men on my profile but thought better of it eventually and removed it. Yes I think there is a backlash developing against the extreme gay/TG activists who are trying to get virtually everyone to celebrate them (******* in ****** too) but this is surely ridiculous. Parents are pushing back against this crap. Rightly so. I believe there are still lotsa nice guys out there who just want to be friendly to crossdressers.
Speaking from my own personal experience on here, Males that want friendship are in the minority, as you say; I have been approached by some who seem to think that I am here to gratify them in some way by pretending I am something they want me to be, it shows a level of immaturity on their part. As with everything in life, there is a balance to find, some people see the line and cross it mindlessly, while others stay so far away from it that they deny themselves the opportunity to enhance their lives just that little bit more.
The rule of thumb on here for any males reading this is to approach us, be kind and considerate, and if the person you are speaking to leads the conversation to something more than a friendly chat, you can dig deeper and perhaps fulfil something you are looking for. If you can't or are unable to do that, then perhaps you should take your moral compass to be repaired
