I made a choice

I could never understand my infatuation with clothes from a young age. As I grew older it seem to be an extension of myself, nothing over the top just a choice to enjoy the feel of certain material on my body. I just chose to wear clothes close to the skin that made me feel secure. I was never looking into a style of clothes but a comfort of clothes that I was fitted to keep me feeling confident and secure within myself.
When I made the choice to wear my clothes freely, my closets were full of female clothing. The clothes became my identity, my confidence and I liked what I saw in the mirror staring back at me. I decided I wanted to dress fulltime and to continue to live openly as a crossdresser. As time moved along I become less visible as a crossdresser and more visible as one of the girls. I learned from my environment, my sister, my circle of young women that were as supportive and protective of me and as one of their own. I am forever grateful for my family, friends and coworkers that continue to love and support to this day.

I’m so happy for you. Thanks for sharing.
Rose, your life is such a warm and touching story - you are truly one of the “girls”!! I hope more girls begin using “girls” rather than gurls. I have been using “girls” almost since the beginning of public writings of my life. I know I’m “not a “girl” by trade LOL, but I believe that I feel and behave as feminine as any bio-girl (when dressed or at least when I start the evening “dressed”).
My mum discovered my “proclivities” when I was quite young and nurtured my femininity while helping me understand how in my early years it could be difficult if not dangerous if I were to show my femininity in public. I waited until college years to foray into the world.
You have been lucky beyond measure to have such a wonderful support group of women and girls in your life!!
Love Jennifer
It's so wonderful you have such supportive and loving people in your life Rose... nothing is better...x
It is so lovely for you to share this, thank you. It must be amazing to be 24/7. I am always curious with how people break the news to family, friends, how it was done / recieved / discussed and the journey? xxx
