"No Men", "No Males", "No Guys", "No Admirers".
A set of familiar words found in one form or another on many CD/TG/Female profiles on this, and other sites.
Why?
I accept that everyone has a personal preference as to who they wish to speak too and who they may want to meet, they are looking for people similar to themselves to share experiences and ask for help and advice. But is that always the reason "no men" is stated? Of course not. I believe there are two other main reasons:
1 - They have been approached by one or more males who, from the beginning or soon afterwards, have stated their intentions (whatever they may be) which are different to what that person is looking for. We all know that in these situations, the male's intentions are nearly always of a sexual only nature.
2 - They have not been approached by any males but from talking to others, they have heard of their experiences. "A male has made sexual suggestions to a person, therefore all males must only be here for sexual reasons".
On this basis, we all get effectively blocked - guilty by reason of gender.
Unfortunately, it does produce a problem or two.
1 - Those of us males who are here to be sociable, just chat and if there is to be a meeting, it will ONLY be social, will respect the "no men" and not make contact. The trolls, for who the "no men" was put up for in the first place, will see that as a challenge, and continue to troll the profiles. Thus the problem continues.
2 - Because we are all assumed to be here only for sexual reasons, the only people who will talk to us are those CD/TG/Female profiles who also want sex, but those are the ones we do not want to talk to.
Therefore many of us will feel alienated because a) those we would like to speak do not want to talk to us and b) those who want to talk to us, often are not the type we want to talk to.
Meanwhile, the trolls will continue, resulting in more "no men" on profiles.
