As stated there are certain truths that society puts on themselves, we call them cultural norms, and those norms change from culture to culture. Our laws are based on those norms each culture has different laws and they have for the most part have been handed down through time, for the culture, we call them morals, those morals are the basis any culture.

When your culture lose those morals then they decline. Example Rome fell because of Christianity, their morals changed. I know other people will say it was the bad Emperors or other factors, except they had had bad Emperors before, what changed was Christianity, I not saying Christianity is wrong, but it has it own set of values and it conflicted with the old Roman Values.

Absolute truth of course things we can't change: The Universe, planetary rotations, earthquakes, volcano eruptions, and the weather. We know for a fact the speed of gravity, etc., could go on all night.

The truth is what you make it, whether in the norm or outside the norm. The main question is which norm you want to live in your cultures or someone else.
