Small c Conservative Dress??

I find myself in "blog mode" yet again as a serious question has reared its head in my pointy little head. I was checking out a girl named Franziska Frankfurt over on another "Girl site". She is in, surprise, surprise, Frankfurt, Deutschland. Great city and I'd love to visit and take her out for lunch (her English is impeccable). I was thinking she is so well put together when she's en femme it brings tears to my eyes - almost. I don't cry THAT easily. She dresses in a very classy and what I would call "conservative" style. Then I checked out some of the other girls who were dressed in very nondescript utilitarian fashion.

So the issue that arose for me is should CD girls dress conservatively or feel free to be flamboyant? Looking at our own local club most girls dress fairly conservatively. I'm fine with that. I love the "classy look" which I think errs on the conservative side. However, there is a place in crossdressing for letting things rip. Let her rip, Honey. I heard from some that large breasts are not for most CD girls and that may well be true. But they are definitely for me - at times (of the month, lol). And some cis women do have naturally large breasts (thank you, Mother Nature!). There is absolutely nothing wrong with going in public with a beaudacious set of knockers on - if you feel like it. You won't get arrested for it.

Hair. Some say to dress age appropriately. To that I say "bollocks" but we've covered that before. If you are an older CD girl (like a lot of us are) you can still wear long hair. And it still looks great. Nicely combed shoulder length - very classy! Blonde, chestnut, brunette, black, platinum. Yes.

Skirts. In my early days of crossdressing I was strongly attracted to short skirts. You will never see cis-women wearing miniskirts these days but my wife did in high ****** - in the 60s. I have branched out into shorter dresses nowadays but I still love my miniskirts. And I still think they look good. If you have nice legs don't be afraid to show them off. We do have a couple of girls in the club that swear by their miniskirts. Finger tip length. In combination with long girlie hair you WILL turn heads. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. That is what God and Mother Nature intended.

Related to the miniskirt issue is leg coverings. Pantyhose and stockings still are the best thing for a girl's legs. Classy, chic, edgy with miniskirts - yes, all of that. I try not to take pics without pantyhose on. Lots of cis-women never wear them any more and sadly, does it ever show. 

So conservative, classy, edgy, slutty? Nobody wants to be thought of as a slut but what does a slutty look - look like? Well, carry it to its extreme and say a woman walking around in public in panties and covered areolas only might be. Put on a nice fitting top, pantyhose and a nice miniskirt over those panties and Voila! An edgy look but not slutty. It is definitely different from Classy but not slutty. We have a wonderful wide selection to choose from.

Colors. Some people dress in sombre tones and yes dark can disguise big features but why dress like a 1950s ****** marm? And I see pics of some CD girls dressed like that. That is way down the other end of the conservative continuum. But it sure isn't slutty, is it? I love colours (see how I snuck in the UK spelling there). Colours brighten up our lives and I like to use it to advantage. You will get noticed more if you wear a nice splash of color. My wife says "Too loud". I say just loud enough! Ultra conservative would be dressing all in black (see Jake and Elwood Blues). Black has its place but you need to contrast it with some colors if you don't want to look like Morticia Addams. Mind you, she looked great in an undertaker's kind of world.

So just a few thoughts on conservative, classy and edgy. I say dress the way you feel and the way the mirror tells you to. It doesn't lie. But unfortunately it cannot whistle.
