Accepting Your Choices

My mother used to think I'd outgrow my girl phase as a child. My father didn't force me to change or try to guide me away from what I was. My sister thought it was the greatest thing I liked girly clothes and wanted to wear outfits that were fashionable. At one point in ****** I realized that I'd rather stay in the shade on a sunny day so I wouldn't tan unevenly meanwhile the boys took off their shirts and played skins and shirts football. All through ****** and after ****** activities I made a choice to do things my own way. I had to deal with bullies from the boys and girls side but it didn't bother me. I just wanted to do things my own way. My parents saw that from an early age, I always had my own style, attitude and comfort in my choices. My sister was my greatest champion in ****** and throughout my entire life.

Recently after a breakup from a long relationship I found myself wondering what I was doing. Was living as a fulltime CD still what I wanted in my life? Was it a fetish I had or had I been doing it for someone else? After some soul searching and finding myself going home for the holidays I realized that this was me, still is me and I am still living my life how I wanted and was living comfortable. I still loved to shop and shop for outfits that were cute for me. I still wore my long winter jacket and still loved my heels whenever I walked down a long hallway hearing my power walk. I was still as fem as ever and I was still happy with who I was.

I learned to accept myself as I am. I may not have a relationship any longer but I am still me.

Unless you can find a very understanding partner, I think you are always limited to crossdressing or being all "femme". I also wonder if I may meet such a partner in the future, but I am not in search. I never came out to previous partners, as I did ignored my femininity. After my latest breakup, ****** shouted that she wanted to be freed, and here we are, alone but completely ourself, never lonely Heart x ******

Thanks for sharing this. You are true to yourself and that’s something we all should strive for. Being a crossdresser is in our dna.

Hi Rose, I just love your blog, it's so full of personal meaning and I compliment you on having the courage to write it. Just be that girl that you want to be and do not worry about reactions from others. Hopefully you are still in touch with your sister who I am sure will give you whatever support she can. If I was in your country I would certainly be a friend and visit. xx
