Since joining this venue, I've become more inquisitive about why I found cross dressing so inviting and emotionally appealing. I am a man after all. But my interest since very early in life was stimulating and inspiring my desires, to feel like a woman. As my temptations grew in strength, my resistance grew weaker and eventually faded completely and now I'm powerless. So I looked for a venue to research my complicated life and how others were handling their particular situations. What I surprising found was, "there is no one size fits all". Every member has their on desires and fulfillment in cross dressing. However, there is one area of exploration to ponder for me.
Do I cross dress to look womanly or do I cross dress to feel womanly. Some might think it's the same, no difference. And, I hope all who reads this blog, will comment on this subject, "Look womanly or feel womanly"? That very subject got me thinking, what is the difference? I can only speak for myself so I encourage others to participate in this blog, it will help bring clarity to the subject.
I am one who feels cross dressing is feeling the woman inside me. My desire is fulfilled with the emotion and thrill of walking, talking, poise, gracefulness, soft nature and yes, the insecurities most women have in life. The need for a strong presence to protect and provide comfort and love. I find that clothes don't make a woman, it complements their bodies and movements. The feeling of softness and gentle movement of the material rubbing against their skin, highlighting their physical assets, that brings out their femininity. Women's daily ritual of moisturizes, makeup, masks to soften their faces, night creams, shampoos and yes, shaving the hair away is not a chore, it's a desired feeling of being womanly. I for one, feel all of that. I'm am a conservative lady like cross dresser. By conservative I mean in clothing, makeup (very Light) and bringing out the grace and softness of femininity. Show less and smile with confidence and flair more. I wear more conservative shorts, lounging items, pullover very feminine T-shirts, etc. You get the point! Aha, one last point, my lingerie, now that's the mystery! I feel so sexy in beautiful lacy lingerie under my clothing, it so inspires me, brings out the best of my feminine side. Remember, women like the idea, what are men thinking about what's under my dress. Because men think, if she is wearing sexy lingerie, then she is a tiger in the bedroom!
That's my story, "what say you"? Are you one to look like a woman or feel like a woman, or maybe both-like me! Love you all!

This is a very good blog and it does make you think why we do what we do…I totally agree with you that the CD community is so diverse in terms of the reasons why we dress and to me that’s a good thing as it would be boring if we were all the same
….for me dressing is pure escapism..being someone else for a while..it’s the best stress reliever I’ve ever experienced dressing up…I’m totally happy living as a man but I do love transforming into a glamorous woman when the urge takes me..in answer to your question I want to feel and look like a woman when I dress otherwise I wouldn’t do it haha..when I look in the mirror i see Vicky I don’t see my male self xxxxx
