We don’t normally comment, but here’s a one-off clarification:
1. Newbies don’t get an unfair advantage. A profile needs at least 2 votes (we will increase this gradually over time to 10) before it appears in the Hotlist, so early votes alone won’t push someone to the top.
2. Voting is meant to be easy and fair. If you see a profile you like, you can rate it directly—no need to just stick to friends. There’s also a random voting page that refreshes with a new profile after each vote.
3. New feature coming soon: you’ll be able to see who has voted for you, so you can reciprocate. For privacy reasons, the individual scores won’t be shown, and this will only unlock after 5 people have voted on your profile.
