Hello Girls! I hope you are all doing well. I want to share some thoughts related to a recent post I read on a different site that was written by a self proclaimed feminist/ Domme. The post was really a rant regarding her displeasure with CDs and Sissies who declare themselves to be feminine. The post was inflammatory and insulting to CDs and sissies but also contained some thoughts that I think are shared by many women. Her main complaint is that CDs aren't feminine because they can't (and usually don't want to) bear children, have no interest in developing or nurturing a family, and do not need to deal with all the physical challenges that women have to deal with like monthly cycles, fear of pregnancy with sex, menopause, etc. To her sissies are an exaggerated and sexualized caricature of real women. Once I got past the insults and accusations in the rant, I started to think about what my real position is on this topic. I adore women and aspire to be like them in some ways but not in all ways. I am generalizing here but women want to look pretty and so do I. Women want to be desirable and lusted after and so do I. Many women are submissive and so am I. However, my aspirations for feminity don't go much beyond this. I am drawn to female sexuality and want to emulate that. I would love to have breasts and a full feminine appearance but, truth be told, my interest in what comes with the rest of full feminity is pretty limited. So what does that mean for me? Am I an abomination? I probably am in some people's eyes. But, I think not. I am what I am. My desires and aspirations are real regardless of how they may be offensive to some. I can't change this part of me. This is just one more challenge that CDs and sissies need to deal with. Would love to hear your thoughts.

I agree with Sam, but just to add a few thoughts; it's a complicated issue especially with trans rights... women whether trans or not do have such a hard daily path to walk to survive. Men do have privilege in societies which can understandably cause resentment and can seem like they want it all...! Dressing up is so wonderful as is all other kinds of role-play, fantasy and BDSM play; men throughout history have naturally enjoyed being peacocks... but playing cops and robbers doesn't mean you are necessary either... although some do still grow up to be them even if they never played the role....wearing trousers or a skirt doesn't change who you are, it sometime shows you who you want to be... x
Excellent blog Darling. I think I'll write one too.
Well done x
Hello Candie, when I read your 'Blog'.. I was astonished at the outburst of the Ultra Feminist you had contacted. Almost everything that you have mentioned about your own expectations and they actually matched my own. Unfortunately my circumstances have changed dramatically over the last 3 Years which have curtailed my CD activities but I fully support anyone who chooses to go down the road to full transition of any part of it , but that does not excuse anyone who has a negative opinion on what we do.
I am now 82 years young and continuing dressing with my wife aware of my "Hobby" as I call it. I had the same aspiration as you before my circumstances changed. I do hope that you continue down the path of your choice. .You are certainlely not an Abomination... Please feel free to contact me for a chat if you feel like it....Best wishes and well done for your 'Blog'
I think femininity, and being female in gender, are 2 different things; your militant feminist has essentially abandoned being feminine (as have many women) and so it's available for us CD's to pick up and adopt. Part of it's about clothes; women's clothes look prettier and feel nicer to wear, and women have kept that to themselves for too long. Part of it is about embracing the softer sides of our personalities, including the desire to be submissive (which 'men' aren't allowed to). Some of us do desire to make the full transformation and be women, and that's fine, but some of us just want to explore our femininity, which, as I've set out above, is an entirely different thing to being a woman.... Hope that makes some kind of sense - and thanks for posing the question! Love, Samantha
